Dipl. Des. Annika Hertz

  • Founder and owner of the service design consultancy, service works

  • Graduated with a Diplom in design with a focus on service (Köln International School of Design, KISD)

  • Guest lecturer in the Process Design department at the Design School, Schwäbisch Gmünd   

  • National and international service design projects (for example in Brazil and Sweden)

  • Helped to set up the centre for service design research, Sedes Research, run by Prof. Birgit Mager at KISD: development and investigation as part of research projects into topics such as “Enthusiasm, and how it is created” and well as mentoring projects with clients from the service industry such as Mobilkom Austria, Ferrero and McDonalds

  • Final diplom project (2008) „Ambassador for Service Design“ aimed to draw attention to the relatively new field of service design (a series of workshops and an internet platform for design students)

  • Project assistant at the centre for service design research, sedes research, run by Prof. Birgit Mager (KISD); assistance with a project investigating service analogies informed by performance art, as well as projects within the service industry, for example, Siemens Betriebskrankenkasse (Siemen’s Business Health Insurance) and Österreichwerbung (Austria Promotion) for pregnant women and Generation 50 plus.
